It has been long time since we travelled together for a long trip. Due to other commitments this was never happened. However during this annual vacation, it happened to be a favorable time, to plan for this trip. As usual, since we will be going to India, it was decided to plan some places with in India and we cornered  Amritsar, Dharamshala, and Delhousie as the final destination. The whole family sat down to decide, the places to visit, connections between places, hotels etc to ensure that we travel less and visit more places. We decided to entrust the booking of hotels and local transport arrangement with Al hind tours Dubai,through their coordinated Miss Simi. The transportation from our home in Trivandrum to Amritsar/Dharamsala and back were booked by me. Being a ardent fan of Railways, I decided to include train journey in our laps. After much debacle it was decided to take train in the following leg 1. Trivandrum Delhi - Rajdhani Express 2. Delhi Amritsar  - Swarna shat

Oman dubai border crossing

When I got a short term assignment in Oman, I was not interested to take my family with me. As a result I travelled every weekend back to sharjah by road and return back to sohar on Sunday morning. Here I like to share my experience in Border crossing between Oman and UAE through Hatta/Sharjah border crossing. My workplace which is at sohar port is only 60 km from international border. From sohar port you have to drive along the highway which goes to khatmat milaha bordering with kalba in sharjah emirates.  If you want to go to Dubai then after shinas there is a big roundabout at Al Aqar and you  take left turn which takes you  to  alwajajah border post inside oman. However after crossing this border you need to drive another 5 km to reach hatta border which is the entry point to uae manned by Dubai emigration.
